1. CONRACT TERM: As a member of the DuPage Angels Baseball Club, I, the player/participant, understand that I'll be under contract from May 1st, 2018 to August 31st, 2018.
2. ELIGIBILITY: The League is for amateurs and no players shall be paid to play. In addition, the CSBL complies with the regulations provided by both the NCAA and the NAIA (adopted 10/10/10).
3. RELEASE: All decisions regarding player release will be made by the General Manager. The CSBL and DuPage Angels play with an open roster through the summer. However, once a person plays for a team in the CSBL and participates in a league game, that player must receive a written release before participating with another team in the league. The player seeking a release shall use the form provided on the CSBL web site. A player who plays for another team in the league without receiving a written release shall be suspended from the league (CSBL) for one year.
4. PAYMENTS: Players will be required to pay a $400 fee to participate with the DuPage Angels. This fee will be determined by and communicated from the General Manager to each player and due in full no later than March 1st, 2018. This fee does not guarantee playing time for the participant/player.
5. REFUND: The General Manager may release me from my contract to play for another club, but it is understood that there will be no refund of any fees paid to the DuPage Angels.
6. WEATHER AND CANCELLATIONS: The weather is out of our control and we will do our best to get all the games in. There are zero refunds for games that do not take place.
7. INJURIES: If a player is injured and cannot participate for the remainder of the season, the DuPage Angels Baseball club will not refund any amount paid by the player. All payments are final.
8. PLAYING TIME: The DuPage Angels Baseball Club will benefit the player/participant in every form possible as he abides to his commitment to the club and the league. This contract will place this player in the league and guarantee him a roster spot with the club. ***PLAYING TIME IS NOT GUARANTEED. THE MANAGER WILL DO HIS BEST TO GIVE PLAYING TIME TO ALL PLAYERS, HOWEVER GAME CIRCUMSTANCES AND PERFORMANCE WILL DICTATE ALL PLAYING DECISIONS. ***
9. AVAILABILITY: All players will be expected to be prompt to all games or practices and also maintain professionalism on and off the field. All players will communicate to the General Manager and Manager in a timely manner any absences or conflicts with any scheduled games. All absences must be granted by the General Manager and/or Manager. Any other absences will be considered un-excused and the General Manager and Manager reserve the right to discipline the player up to and including suspension and/or release from the club. Any player released from the club for this reason WILL NOT be given a refund.
10. TEAMSNAP: Each player will be required to download the application ‘TeamSnap’ to their mobile device. This application will be used by each player to communicate game availability to the club. All game times, locations, updates for rainouts and cancellations, as well as general club/team news and updates will be communicated by the club to the players through this application.
11. PLAYER EQUIPMENT: Each player is responsible for their own equipment, including bats. The club will provide helmets. Composite bats are allowed for league play except in postseason NABF tournament play; which requires MLB approved wood bats only.
12. JERSEY: The DuPage Angels will provide each player with a jersey. If a jersey is returned in a condition deemed unfit for use by the General Manager, the player will be levied a fine of $100 dollars, so that a replacement jersey can be purchased. If a player refuses or does not return their jersey, they will be banned from the club and not given their release to play with another team within the CSBL.
13. HAT: Each member of the DuPage Angels will be required to buy a team hat, valued at $25. The hat will be a fitted new era 59Fifty hat. No other hat will be allowed to be worn on the field.
14. PANTS, SPIKES, AND UNIFORM ACCESSORIES: Each player is responsible for purchasing their own pants (solid white), belt (navy blue), undershirt (navy blue) and spikes (navy blue/red/black). Any field requiring use of molded cleats or turf shoes will be communicated by the General Manager to the player prior to that event.
15. TEAM EQUIPMENT: Any team equipment that is damaged or destroyed by any players will result in a fine. The fine will be levied at the following prices: Helmets: $100. Catchers Gear: $200. Water Bottle: $20. Water Cooler: $200.
16. FINES: Any fined levied by the club, or the league (CSBL) against a player must be paid promptly. Failure to pay any outstanding fines will result in loss of playing time, suspension, or expulsion from the club and/or league.
17. PLAYER EJECTIONS:
a. If a position player or relief pitcher is ejected from a game, he will be fined $50 by the league office (to be collected by team manager) and automatically suspended from playing in the next league contest.
b. If a pitcher is ejected from a game, he will be fined $50 by the league office (to be collected by team manager) and automatically suspended from playing in the league for the next five days.
c. If a manger or coach is ejected from a game, he will be fined $100 by the league office.
18. LEAGUE DISCIPLINARY POLICIES: Disciplinary Policy for players who are ejected and abuse umpires both on and off the field.
a. Any player who punches another manager, coach or player shall be suspended immediately from CSBL play for a minimum of three games. After further review, the length and nature of the suspension shall be determined by the league commissioner.
b. Any player who displays disruptive or abusive conduct after an ejection, during or after the game, will be suspended from league play for two weeks. The time of the suspension will be determined by the commissioner.
c. Any player who physically assaults an umpire at any time during the season will be suspended from league play for the remainder of the season.
d. The league commissioner shall be given authority by the managers of the league to enforce this policy.
19. POSTSEASON PLAY: The DuPage Angels participate in the NABF (National Amateur Baseball Federation) tournament. A tournament roster of 25 players will be determined by the General Manager and any coaching staff. This roster will be communicated to the team prior to the tournament. The tournament will take place over 2 weekends: Thursday August 2nd-Sunday August 5th at Madison Meadows Park/North Central College and Thursday August 9th-Sunday August 12th in Battle Creek MI. All players selected for the tournament are expected to be present at every game.
20. TRAVEL COSTS: No travel costs will be reimbursed to a player by the club, unless specifically communicated by the General Manager. These may include, but are not limited to, gas, hotel, food, or other travel costs associated with tournaments, league games, or practices.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
1. All players and coaches shall be in full uniform (including matching hats).

Punishments may include suspensions, probations, lifetime expulsions, and fines. Objections of suspensions, expulsions or other exclusions from playing or participation will be noted by review, but such exclusions are not subject to appeal.
